FROM THE  CHAIR

ASBA Continues to Impress

As I prepared for my first ASBA Technical Meeting as Chairman last month it struck me that I would be addressing one of the finest group of builders, designers and manufacturers in the sports construction industry….not just in the US, but internationally. The group of professionals that assemble at ASBA’s Technical Meeting offers experience, friendships and valuable contacts that have helped me grow professionally – and personally. DETAILS

Destination: Puerto Rico
ASBA's 2013 Winter Meeting Set for February 22-24

People don’t start making New Year’s Resolutions until a lot earlier, but here’s one that bears consideration: getting a jump start on the 2013 season by attending ASBA’s Winter Meeting.

The meeting, to be held February 22-25, at the Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort in Puerto Rico, is guaranteed to bring great weather, fantastic opportunities to work on association business -- and more than a few chances to unwind and enjoy some time with colleagues and friends. DETAILS

... and mark the calendar for San Antonio
2013 ASBA Technical Meeting to be Held December 6-10

The next ASBA Technical Meeting will be held December 6-10, 2013. The location will be San Antonio, Texas at the fabulous Grand Hyatt.

All the great things you’ve come to expect from the Technical Meeting will be there -- informative sessions, division meetings, a great trade show, opportunities to make important contacts, and even the chance to indulge in a little fun, including the golf and tennis tournaments. And don’t forget -- ASBA’s award winners are always announced at this meeting.

The Grand Hyatt is only steps from the Riverwalk and convenient to San Antonio’s many attractions. It’s a break after the busy season, and a great chance to regroup. Information will be sent out to members as the meeting nears; in the meantime, stay informed by checking in at www.sportsbuilders.org  (where information will be posted).

May We Quote You?

One of ASBA’s most important programs is its technical articles, which are written for trade magazines in various segments of the industry, including tennis, track, indoor and fields facilities. We are always looking for our members to comment on, and be quoted in these articles. This is an excellent chance to help raise ASBA’s profile, and in an ancillary capacity, to increase visibility for your company. If you would like to be quoted in these articles, please send an e-mail to Mary Helen Sprecher at mhsprecher@verizon.net.

Please indicate your area(s) of expertise: Tennis, Track, Indoor, Fields so that we do not bother you with excess e-mail. You can be added to more than one mailing list if you wish.

If you have previously sent Mary Helen an e-mail asking to be added to her e-mail list, you do not need to request again. However, if your e-mail has changed and you have not been receiving questions, please contact her with your current e-mail address.
